MC, AC, tray and VFD cable buyers in Oklahoma
Armoured and tray-rated cable is where commercial and industrial surplus overlaps: the same job can leave behind coils of MC for a retail fit-out and reels of TC-ER for a plant expansion.
MC cable uses interlocked metal armour with a grounding path; AC cable is the older armoured construction with a bonding strip. Tray cable, TC and TC-ER, is designed for cable tray and, in the ER rating, for exposed runs and direct burial. PLTC covers power-limited tray cable for Class 2 and 3 circuits, and VFD cable is shielded with a symmetrical ground for variable-frequency drives.
We buy all of these in copper and aluminium where applicable, from 2-conductor up through multi-conductor configurations, on full reels, partial coils and boxed lengths.

What to send with the request
- Conductor count and whether a ground conductor is included.
- Armour type for MC and AC; tray rating for TC and TC-ER.
- Whether the cable is shielded, and whether the shield is a tape, braid or drain wire.
- Coil or reel length and whether the factory banding is intact.
Not sure of the type?
Send a photo of the jacket print anyway. Reading a wire label is the one thing we do all day, and it is faster than guessing.

MC, AC and tray cable: seller questions
Do you buy VFD cable?
Yes. VFD cable is shielded with a symmetrical ground construction, so note the shield type, conductor count and gauge when you send the request.
What does TC-ER mean for resale?
The ER rating covers exposed runs and, in some constructions, direct burial. That rating makes the cable more useful, so it is worth confirming from the jacket print.
Adjacent wire types we also buy
Single-conductor building wire is the backbone of every electrical surplus load in the state. It is also the easiest category to quote precisely, because the jacket tells you almost everything.
Instrumentation cable carries signal, not just power, and that changes how it is specified — shielding, pairing, drain wires and jacket material all matter. It is also the category most often mispriced by general scrap buyers.
Above 5 kV, cable stops being a commodity and becomes a specified assembly: conductor, semicon layers, insulation, shield and jacket all have to match. That is precisely why this category rewards a specialist buyer.
