We buy surplus copper wire in Oklahoma
Copper is the part of a surplus wire load that is easiest to identify and hardest to fake. If the reel says copper, the value is in the conductor, the insulation and the footage left on the reel.
Copper building wire arrives in two shapes: single-conductor reels of THHN, THWN-2 or XHHW-2, and multi-conductor cable such as MC, SER or tray cable. Both are in scope, in solid or stranded construction, from #14 through 1000 MCM.
Bare copper is its own category. Grounding and bonding conductor, bare rings and scrap ends from a panel change are all wire we buy, and they are usually the material sellers forget to mention.

What to send with the request
- The reel label: manufacturer, type, size, voltage rating and footage remaining.
- Whether the conductor is solid or stranded, and copper or copper-clad aluminium.
- Jacket and insulation condition — cracked, sun-faded, or still factory-wrapped.
- Approximate total weight if you have a scale ticket or a shipping document.
Not sure of the type?
Send a photo of the jacket print anyway. Reading a wire label is the one thing we do all day, and it is faster than guessing.

Copper wire: seller questions
Do you buy copper wire with no reel label?
Yes. Photograph the print on the jacket and the exposed conductor end. Between those two frames we can normally identify the type, size and metal.
How is copper wire valued?
By conductor weight and construction, adjusted for insulation type, size, remaining footage and condition. We quote against the market at the time of the request rather than publishing a fixed price.
Adjacent wire types we also buy
Single-conductor building wire is the backbone of every electrical surplus load in the state. It is also the easiest category to quote precisely, because the jacket tells you almost everything.
Grounding conductor is the quiet surplus category. It is bought by the reel, used in short runs, and left behind in partial coils that sit in a gang box for years.
Above 5 kV, cable stops being a commodity and becomes a specified assembly: conductor, semicon layers, insulation, shield and jacket all have to match. That is precisely why this category rewards a specialist buyer.
