Bare copper and grounding wire buyers in Oklahoma
Grounding conductor is the quiet surplus category. It is bought by the reel, used in short runs, and left behind in partial coils that sit in a gang box for years.
Bare copper is used for grounding electrode conductors, bonding jumpers and equipment grounding. It is also common in substation and switchyard work, where bare conductor and grounding rings are installed in quantity.
We buy bare copper in solid and stranded construction, insulated green grounding wire, bonding conductor and bare rings, from #14 through 500 MCM and larger on request.

What to send with the request
- Whether the conductor is bare, tinned or insulated.
- Gauge and whether it is solid or stranded.
- Approximate weight — bare copper is the one category where a scale ticket is genuinely useful.
- Whether the copper is bright or heavily oxidised.

Send a photo of the jacket print anyway. Reading a wire label is the one thing we do all day, and it is faster than guessing.

Bare copper and grounding: seller questions
Do you buy bare copper by weight?
Weight is part of the assessment for bare conductor, but construction and cleanliness matter too. A scale ticket plus a photo of the coil is the fastest combination.
Is green insulated grounding wire in scope?
Yes. Green insulated grounding conductor is bought the same way as other building wire, by size and remaining footage.
Adjacent wire types we also buy
Copper is the part of a surplus wire load that is easiest to identify and hardest to fake. If the reel says copper, the value is in the conductor, the insulation and the footage left on the reel.
Single-conductor building wire is the backbone of every electrical surplus load in the state. It is also the easiest category to quote precisely, because the jacket tells you almost everything.
How wire is wound tells you almost as much as what the wire is. A factory-sealed reel, a half-used wooden reel and a hand-coiled bundle are three different conversations.
